March 1, 2025: First Members Began Moving Into Their New Homes
February 27, 2025: Construction Completed
The new six-story, wood-frame building has a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Six of the homes are accessible. The new building boasts two levels of underground parking, an amenity room, lounge, communal kitchen with a dining area, and a pet-washing station.

November 23, 2022: Ground Breaking
In partnership with BC Housing, City of Surrey, and Community Land Trust (CLT), Sunshine Housing Co-operative was able to acquire new land and build new homes close by. The new building resulted in the expansion from the original co-op's 39 homes to nearly doubling the number of homes to 69. Pre-existing members were provided the opportunity to move into the new building as keeping the original community intact was a primary focus of all parties involved. The official ground breaking took place and the new site building was well under way.

1980: The Original Sunshine Housing Co-op is Built
The original Sunshine Housing Co-op was built in 1980, four blocks away at 10744 133rd Street. The initial lease agreement had an end date of 2023.
